Who runs LastMile

LastMile is operated by Shival Gupta, an individual. This policy covers the LastMile iPhone app and website. For privacy questions or requests, contact help@uselastmile.com.

Information we process

  • Account information: your sign-in identifier and information provided through Apple or Google sign-in, such as your email address.
  • Your profile and logs: information you enter about your goals, body measurements, weight, meals, food preferences, workouts, water, supplements and daily habits.
  • Coaching: messages, conversation history and relevant account data used to respond. Voice features process microphone audio; meal-photo features process images you choose to submit.
  • Technical information: app events, device and session information, errors and diagnostic logs used to operate and troubleshoot the service.

Apple Health

With your permission, LastMile can read steps, sleep, workouts, active and resting energy, weight, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability and exercise time from Apple Health. It can also write weight entries when you grant that permission.

We use permitted data to show your activity and progress and support health and fitness features. Information used by online features may be processed outside your device. Apple Health permission does not mean all coaching happens on your phone.

You can change access in Apple Health or your device settings. Revoking access stops future access to those categories; it does not automatically erase information already saved to your LastMile account.

Why we use information

We process information to provide your account, record your logs, calculate progress and estimates, personalise coaching, respond to support requests, maintain reliability and protect the service from misuse. AI-generated estimates and suggestions may be inaccurate.

Cloud services and AI

Online features send information to service providers that host the app, store account data, generate AI responses, handle voice sessions and provide diagnostics. Providers used by LastMile include Railway and Neon for hosting and storage, Google Gemini for AI features, LiveKit for voice, and Grafana services for diagnostics. Where enabled, OpenRouter routes AI requests to the model provider configured for that feature.

Depending on the feature, AI requests can include your message, submitted meal image or voice audio, and relevant goals, logs and conversation context. Avoid including information about other people without their permission. These features involve third-party processing; they are not on-device-only services.

Website visits

Loading the website sends technical information, such as your IP address and request details, to its hosting provider. The landing page loads fonts from Google Fonts and may load code from jsDelivr; those services receive the technical information needed to respond to your browser. These legal pages use local styles and system fonts.

Storage and deletion

We retain your cloud account and associated data indefinitely unless you request deletion. There is no automatic expiry for inactive accounts. This is subject to any applicable legal requirement to delete information sooner.

To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email help@uselastmile.com with the subject “Account deletion request”. Include the email address associated with your LastMile account. Do not send your password or health records.

Deletion requests are handled manually. We may need to verify that you own the account before deleting it. We will respond about the request and its completion. If any information must be retained to meet a legal obligation, we will explain that exception. You can also contact us about deleting particular information without closing your account.

LastMile stores information both on your device and in cloud services. Signing out, uninstalling the app or using its current Reset App control does not delete your cloud account.

Your choices and requests

You can choose whether to grant Apple Health, camera and microphone permissions and change those permissions in your device settings. Some features need the corresponding information to work.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent or complain to your local data protection authority. Contact the privacy email above to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before providing account information.

Other disclosures

Information may need to be disclosed where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protections.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and identify the effective date. Where required, we will provide notice or request consent before a material change takes effect.
